Superhero Kids

Kids can be Superhero’s too!

A superhero or superhero is a character or person that possesses superpowers, abilities beyond those of ordinary people, and fits the role of the hero, typically using his or her powers to help the world become a better place.

Helping kids find their character strengths and social powers supports confidence, emotional growth, and happiness.

Finding their Power Through Kindness and Acceptance

Each of us have the power to make someone feel good through kindness and acceptance. Once a child experiences this superpower, they realize their actions have the power to impact others.

Kindness and Acceptance are daily values that are important characteristics of who we are.

They are fundamental core values. Modeling these values to our children will be one of the greatest gifts you can give them.

Communication, acceptance, and kindness are family principles.  They enhance our relationship with others and ourselves.

Parents teach their children the essential skill of recognizing their own strengths and weaknesses. They begin to discover who they are which in turn impacts their personal growth.

Our own actions, communication and behavior play a critical role in the development of their own social skills and happiness.

Children who feel loved and accepted by their parents have better relationships with their family and peers.  Respecting and accepting ourselves teaches others how we want to be treated.

Helping our children develop a strong sense of acceptance and empathy will help them live a happier life. This development will help build a sense of security and self-esteem . It enhances relationships with others positioning them well for learning.

Parents should encourage their children to value themselves and others as unique individuals. A person’s appearance, personality, quirks, beliefs, and interests bring something special to the world.

Be a Superhero:   No Cape Required

One of the best ways to model a sense of acceptance and empathy for others is through acts of kindness and community service.

Involve your children in weekly Random Acts of Kindness.

Kindness is key to helping kids feel good about themselves and others.

Community service is a way to teach our children the value of empathy. Volunteering shows kids kindness, compassion and selflessness, and it can also teach them a variety of life skills. Children learn to appreciate what they have when helping those less fortunate.

Acts of kindness and service to others are powerful tools to teach our children. They bring light and love to our loved ones, our community, and the world!

We all have the Power!

There will be less bullying and harassment in the world when we give our children the power of kindness and acceptance.

“There is a superhero in all of us, we just need the courage to put on the cape.”
